Travel Grant and Fee Waiver Scheme for Ukraine, Georgia, for Armenia scholars and postgraduate research students

The BASEES Organising Committee is pleased to announce that a limited number of travel grants and fee waivers are available for the upcoming conference. These grants are sponsored by the Max Weber Network Eastern Europe (MWNO).

The travel grants offer up to €850 towards travel costs, along with a conference fee waiver. The fee waiver scheme provides free attendance, either remotely or in person. They are intended to support scholars and postgraduate research students who permanently reside in UkraineGeorgia, or ArmeniaUkrainian scholars who have been displaced as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine are also eligible to apply.

Applicants must be scheduled to deliver a paper in a standard panel session. Please note that individuals participating solely as panel chairs, discussants, or roundtable participants are not eligible for these grants.

Applications will be assessed based on the intellectual quality of the paper proposal, with additional consideration given to maintaining a balance across academic disciplines and regional representation.

We encourage eligible scholars and postgraduate researchers to apply for the grants. Individuals may apply for both schemes.
